Enlightenment
Theword Buddha in Sanskrit means to be awakened to a primordial reality of radiant compassion and self existing wisdom. Expressed in art, Buddhas are not objects of worship, but mirrors of our innermost being, icons of the journey from ignorance to illumination. After experimenting with different materials, techniques, themes and motifs, Buddha became the main theme of my art. During the last four years, I have enriched myself traveling in all the Buddhist destinations, exploring various Buddha images.
We are artists of our own destiny, as the artist merges with his art, so too does the one who contemplates it deeply. As I look within myself, I create the experience of mind, body, of the universe and all its infinite realms.
That's Enlightenment. To know that the entire universe is a projection of my own being and that I create within myself the texture and fabric of all that exists. The theme: 'Enlightenment'-
'The Wisdom of Fulfillment... The wisdom, that arises from the direct experience of all phenomena being fulfilled. Knowing through personal experience (for example, meditation Vipaasna) that all things are interconnected and interdependent. That nothing in this world exists independently. All things are connected and conditional... In other words... All things exist because of other things.
These are not images remote from our experiences, but reflections of the different states of awareness.
The Buddhas represent a sublime state of consciousness. But when I consciously address these powerful forces, I become more accepting of myselve and others and can turn these energies into a creative expression. Creations depict a contemporary expression of an image that is known by all mankind since a long age, the image of Buddha. represent the transmutation, of passion, into a force of spiritual awakening. The harmonious reintegration, of the male and female energies which shape the entire universe.
Recognise at the core of ones’ being is the light of pure consciousness, which is pure potential, pure creativity. Art in this context both it's creation and it's contemplation is a vehicle for discovering our full potential, the divinity within us. Art is a doorway to the divine.
